North Geelong Power Station

The North Geelong Power Station is somewhere that has recently become very popular with the increase of urban exploration. Particularly since November last year when I discovered this place and it was pretty bare then. Now it has been completely covered in graffiti and taken over by local artists.

I have to admit I was a little disappointed that it was not as abandoned as I had been led to believe but it was still truly and amazing sight to see. All the time and effort gone into the artwork not to mention the talent.

The exterior is also pretty cool but not as detailed and is still natural.

These stairs were my favourite part of the power station and were what I went there for. Inside there are also stairs perfect for exploring but they were closed off. So this was the next best thing.

At the top of the stairs was the control panel of the power station and it really interested me to see some original features of the power station.

Such great artwork and an amazing place to explore. Must see!!!

P.S It also helped it was a nice day.

Style Sunday

I've decided to start a new weekly post called Style Sunday. Every Sunday I get to wear a dress creating some of my favourite outfits.
This Sunday it was the start of the colder days of autumn which got me excited to break out my winter wardrobe. The flowers also kept as a good transition from summer to autumn.

Fast & Furious 7

So on Thursday night, the moment I had been waiting for finally arrived. The final Paul Walker film, Fast & Furious 7. And I have to say it was absolutely AMAZING!!!! It was everything I had hoped and more.

There was so much action packed into this and it was so great. Fight scene after fight scene and car chasing after car chasing. It was unbelievable, the whole movie had me thinking you can't write this stuff but obviously they had. That was aside from other thought throughout the whole movie which was 'when is he going to die'. I braced myself for it the whole movie and without giving anything away I can say I was not disappointed and it was very well done.

The movie was epic and I definitely recommend it to everyone. I don't know how anyone could not enjoy this movie. It is action packed, very emotional and one of the most entertaining movies I have ever seen. If you've seen the whole franchise you will still be amazed by the stunts they pull in #7 and it goes above and beyond what you would expect. They knew they had to make this movie AWESOME and they put everything they could imagine into it. A great tribute to Paul Walker.

Feeling Content 29-3-15

  • Driving towards the nearest Oporto restaurant I was already feeling pretty good and as I looked at my surroundings I was caused to reflect on my happiness and many other aspects of life.

  • It was weird that as I was just fulfilling on of life necessities I had this overwhelming feeling of content. But the pictures don't even do justice the beauty of the that Sunday afternoon. I have driven this highway from Melbourne many times but this day it looked particularly amazing.

  • As I looked at the You Yangs I realised how lucky I am to live in a great city called Geelong. I get to see these 'mountains' from my own neighbourhood and I take them for granted. But not that day, that day I appreciated them and the life I have.
